Individual Education Plans: Tools and Tips to Support Your Child’s Success
October 15, 2022 @ 6:30 am – 8:00 am EDT
What is an IEP and how can I make sure that my child is getting the most out of it?
Individual Education Plans (IEPs) are documents that explain the supports that students with special needs require – and are legally entitled to. However, IEPs only work if they’re implemented effectively and parents play a key role in ensuring they are. P4D’s workshop will help parents learn how to ensure their child’s IEP is being implemented effectively by teaching parents their rights and how to advocate for them. Our workshop answers frequently asked questions like does your child need an IEP and what to do if you don’t think there are any issues with your child’s learning but their school does. Our workshop will help you advocate for the support your child needs to succeed. Once registered, participants will be able to send in questions. Please click on, “Questions from Participants” link on your main event page.
