Parent to Parent Training: for parents/guardians of Black children

Parents for Diversity is offering another Parent to Parent training program! This is a training program for parents and guardians of Black children who wish to become peer parent advocates and help other parents/guardians like themselves navigate the school system and better advocate for their families. This program will give peer advocates the knowledge and tools to support families in their community schools, while also empowering them to continue advocating for better conditions in the school system.

– Who’s who in the school
– IEP Process
– Escalating Concerns
– Suspensions and School Discipline
– Advocacy Framework

This session will be held in-person, lunch and refreshments will be provided.
